Wild-harvested clay from Mount Jerusalem, Northern Rivers NSW
Upcoming Workshops

Saturday 31 October 2026, 10am to 3pm. A day in the forest finding clay, then back to the shed to turn it into something you can fire. Three dig sites, buckets, bare hands. You make test tiles from the clay you dug yourself — I fire them afterwards. Fifteen people, no experience needed, $300. Adults only.
Two Saturdays — 21 and 28 November 2026. Handbuild on the first, glaze and fire on the second. Both days required. Ten places, adults 18+, no experience needed, $475 all inclusive.

A Day On The Ground:
Filmed at a wild clay workshop, Upper Main Arm
As heard on ABC North Coast
"Do you like to go searching in the bush for your own clay to make pottery? It feels like it would be a very satisfying thing — to be using the material you found yourself to make art." — Bridie Tanner, North Coast Breakfast, 15 September 2026
Ben spoke with Bridie about digging clay out of the mountain at Upper Main Arm, the three months of failed test tiles it took to get it firing, and the workshops where you can come and do it yourself.
